In Weight Watchers®, when a person reaches her goal weight, she moves from a regular membership to a lifetime membership designed to help her keep the weight off for the rest of her life. She usually attends meetings less frequently and only has to pay a fee when she rises above her goal weight. The continued weigh-ins and potential fees inform her when she gains just a pound or two so the gain doesn’t go unchecked and turn into 20, 40, or 100 pounds and put her back where she started.
