Application #35. Create an Explorer-Style Application
This sample application demonstrates how to create an application that uses the Windows Explorer–style interface. Windows Explorer–style applications came into popularity when Windows 95 introduced Windows Explorer, the 32-bit replacement for File Manager. Sporting a tree view to the left and a list view to the right, Windows Explorer introduced a new standard for user interfaces. The tree view was used to display the computer’s drives. When you clicked a drive, it would expand to reveal its subdirectories. When you clicked a subdirectory, it too would expand to reveal its subdirectories.
