Don't Worry If You Don't Know What Your Passion Is

It's okay if you don't know what your passion is. I give you permission to not know. I realize you may feel pressured by (pick one or more) your parents, your friends, what you read, and so on to know what it is you want to do with your life. But it's not a law of nature that you have to know this. Stop worrying about it. Pick something you think you'd like to do and get to work. You'll learn on the job whether or not it's a good fit for you.

There are exercises you can do to help you figure out what your passion is, and I use them in my courses. It's more effective, however, to explore the fields in which you're interested, meet people who work in them, and get involved. That can mean job ...
