How do you and your people measure company success? What kind of yardstick do you use to define winning? There are many ways, from gross revenue to market share to net profit. But the important point is to have a clear, definable, and measurable goal, a goal that everybody knows and can understand. How would you know if a quarterback was moving the ball if the field lacked yard lines, hash marks, and the goal post?
