18Digital Drum Set
In this project you’ll create a button-controlled digital drum set with just a breadboard circuit and a few buttons. Pressing different buttons will produce different drum sounds, including two drumbeat loops.
PARTS REQUIRED
Raspberry Pi
Breadboard
Eight pushbuttons
Headphones, or monitor with speakers connected to the Pi via HDMI
Jumper wires
SOFTWARE REQUIRED
avconv
This project uses samples from the Sonic Pi sample library, but you’re free to adapt it to use any sounds you want.
PREPARING THE AUDIO
First you’ll need to configure the Raspberry Pi audio properly and get set up to use audio samples from Sonic Pi.
