Chris Rainier (b. 1958) has traveled all seven continents pursuing his personal mission to document the last untouched wilderness areas and native tribes of the world. His photographs have been featured in numerous magazines and publications, including LIFE, National Geographic, the New York Times, and Conde Nast Traveler. His work has also been featured in publications of the International Red Cross, the United Nations, and Amnesty International.

He has covered diverse subjects and events, such as the survivors of the Killing Fields in Cambodia; the civil wars in Sri Lanka, Somalia, and Yugoslavia; the Bhopal gas incident in India; Tibetan refugees; and the effects of human impacts on Antarctica. ...
