Developing a game is much like writing a novel or a screenplay. It starts with a blank page, or in the case of a game, an empty folder. You can stare at it all you want. It’s not going to write itself. Nevertheless, after you get going, after a while it may seem that way on a good day.
Where do your game ideas come from? Game developers get that a lot. It’s a tough question. As usual, when in doubt, google it! You’ll instantly find several links to websites, papers, and random pieces of advice on how to generate game ideas. The idea is the easy part. Your success will stem mostly from what you do with that idea when you and your team get down to it and make the game.
