Fifty-eight percent of employees say their department is shorthanded.
A large insurance company in New England surveyed the employees of a smaller company they had recently acquired in Maryland. This 200-person acquisition had a long, proud history of serving its local market. Most of their employees had been with the company for many years.
The survey found that employees believed their hard work was responsible for the growth the company had experienced during the previous few years. They also were concerned they were understaffed.
