Key Points
Utilities are like a built-in toolbox. Essentially, they’re a friendly interface for editing pieces of the Registry. Most are located in the Control Panel. Searching for specific utilities in different versions of Windows is an inside joke among techies and has led many to just enter the utility filename in the command-line interface (CLI).
