Today we focus on reviewing the structure of an IPv4 address, the classes, and private and public IPv4 addresses. Then we turn our focus to IPv4 subnetting.

For example, you should be able to quickly answer a question such as the following: If you are given a /16 network, what subnet mask would you use to maximize the total number of subnets while still providing enough addresses for the largest subnet with 500 hosts?
