Creating Procedural Mud Material

In this chapter, we will be creating a realistic mud material using procedural texturing and using it to texture the bottom of the landscape that we created in the previous chapter. You will learn how to create and combine many different layers of details, such as adding water puddles, stones, and mud details, and combining all these details into one complex, realistic result.

We will tap into the unlimited potential of Blender’s incredibly powerful node editor and learn how to create advanced and highly customizable procedural textures from scratch.
