Chapter 7 Make a Film in 3D

 

 

Having reviewed the main characteristics of 3D filmmaking and its grammar as a new filmic language, it is time to list the steps a filmmaker must consider when making a film in 3D. Most of these steps are of course identical in some respects to those of a 2D project, which is why only the ones unique to stereoscopy are listed here:

screenwriting for 3D;

working with a stereographer;

3D storyboard and previs;

acting;

shooting in native 3D: specific constraints;

3D post-production;

sound designing in depth.
