Exercise 4.2. Moving and Rotating Footsteps

This exercise gives you practice in moving and rotating footsteps. Here, you’ll make the biped walk over a hill.

1.
Load MYBIPEDWALK.MAX.

In the Top viewport, create a large box to represent the ground. The box should be big enough to include the biped and all the footsteps. Set the box’s Length Segs and Width Segs to 15. Right-click the Perspective viewport label and choose Edged Faces so that you can see the segments.
3.
Move the box underneath the biped and apply the Affect Region modifier to the box. A bump in the ground forms about halfway along the biped’s total walking path.
