Chapter 5. Footstep Timing

It’s important to distinguish between footstep placement and footstep timing. Footstep placement is the physical location of footsteps in the viewport. Footstep timing is the frame on which a footstep key starts and the number of frames it lasts, as determined by the gait and other parameters, such as 2 Feet Down and Airborne.

In this chapter, you’ll learn how to set footstep timing the way you want it, and how to adjust it after it’s been set. We’ll also look at some common errors in footstep timing and how to correct them.
