This exercise illustrates what can happen when you give Character Studio too much time for a simple leap.
1. | Load the file JUMP.MAX from the CD that comes with this book.
This file contains a sequence of eight jump footsteps, with three airborne periods between footsteps.

2. | Select any part of the biped. On the Motion panel, click the Footstep Mode button. |
3. | Right-click in the viewport and choose Dope Sheet. |
4. | In the Dope Sheet window, navigate to the Bip01 > Bip01 Footsteps > Transform track in the hierarchy panel on the left to view the footsteps.
