Exercise 6.4. Standing Up

In this exercise, you’ll animate the Balance Factor to make a biped get up out of its chair.

1.
Load the file Sitting.max from the CD. This file contains a biped sitting on a chair. The biped has two footsteps under its feet for 100 frames, but no other animation.

First, we want to animate the biped bending over to swing itself out of the chair.
2.
Turn on Auto Key.
3.
Go to frame 10.
4.
Select the lowest spine link, Bip01 Spine.
5.
In the Left viewport, rotate the spine link forward by about 60 degrees. The biped’s hips shift backward in the chair. Not very realistic!
6.
Press Ctrl+Z to undo the spine link rotation. ...
