Exercise 11.4 . Varying Vector Direction for the Moths

In this exercise, you’ll change the object of the Vector Field Space Warp from the nice, regular Light to an irregular object. This will generate irregular vectors, causing the moths to move more erratically.

1.
Load the file MyMoths03.max from your folder, or load the file Moths03.max from the CD.
2.
Unhide the object Mangled Light. This is a ChamferCyl object to which the Noise modifier has been applied. Quite a different Vector Field will result from designated this object for vectors. Before we can use it, however, we must collapse the object’s modifier stack so that it can be picked for the Vector Field Space Warp.
