Exercise 13.3. Create Jogging Bipeds

Copy the file JOGGING.MFE from the \motions folder on the CD to the 3dsMax8\Cstudio\Moflow folder on your hard disk. Also copy all the BIP files that start with “jog” as well. There are 12 of these, which comprise a library of possible jogging motions.

Load the file JOGGERS.MAX from the CD. If you get a Missing External Files error, navigate to the various jogging BIP files you just copied to resolve it. This scene contains a crowd simulation with four delegates moving over a bumpy surface. The delegates seek the box at the center of the surface while avoiding each other.
