Exercise 13.1. Making a Cheering Audience

In this exercise, you’ll use two clips, SIT.BIP and CHEER.BIP, to create a scene with three bipeds cheering as if at a sporting event. To make their motion look more natural, you’ll create a random script for their actions.

1.
Copy the files SIT.BIP and CHEER.BIP from the CD to the \3dsmax8\Cstudio\Moflow folder on your hard disk. If this folder doesn’t already exist on your hard drive, go ahead and create it. You’ll need to have this file on your hard disk so that Character Studio can find it when generating random scripts.

Reset 3ds Max.

Create a biped of any size.
4.
Select any part of the biped and go to the Motion panel.

In the General rollout, click Load File. Then navigate to the
