In this chapter, we will bring together the various elements we’ve created to make a scene.
The first thing we need to do is look at grounding, as this will provide a literal common ground for the objects to share. In the scene concept image, we can see the house and the surrounding area. We have the house, the foliage, and flora, but what we are missing is the ground and the fencing to give us a population plane and to separate foreground from background.
Looking at the concept we can see three types of fence – all similar but varying in scale. We won’t need the large fence, ...
