Living out your retirement years is supposed to be easy, but it isn’t. It takes careful planning even with good professional help. It occurred to me as I was writing this book that for me it has been similar to running a business. Running a successful business requires having a budget each year. A good business plan includes expected expenses and income for each month of the year. You track both during the year and make adjustments as needed to keep things on track.
