HYPERFOCAL FOCUSING IS perhaps one of the coolest and most intense terms in photography. Fortunately it’s not as daunting as the name sounds. The hyperfocal distance is the focus distance that will give you the greatest depth of field. Let’s assume you want to capture a landscape with everything from the nearby flowers to distant mountains all in focus. The hyperfocal distance is a midpoint between these two subjects where you’ll need to focus so that everything is in acceptable focus.
