If you want to set up a home office, there's one key element you need before you get rolling—a home! Whether it's an apartment, cottage, condominium, cabin in the woods, mansion, ranch house, or Cape Cod charmer, if you work from home, you will need to create a space from which to work inside that home.

This may sound simple enough, but in fact, creating a professional space that can co-exist with your nonprofessional life, as well as, often, gremlins (a.k.a. those cute kids you have), can require careful planning and thought.
