In 2005 the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Department of Treasury decided to embark on a pilot coaching program for their high-performing executives and managers. The OCC charters, regulates, and supervises all national banks. It also supervises the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks.
The six-month program used both OCC internal coaches and external coaches. Some of the outcomes clients experienced after coaching could be directly attributed to increased ESE skills:
• Breakthroughs in achievement of personal and organizational goals (Authentic Success)
• Ability to create and lead from a vision (Authentic Success)
• Creation of a high-performance team (Valuing Others)
