9 Scene and Model Preparation
To make sure we are off to a good start, we will prepare the file and model ready for rigging. Make this process a habit and go through these preparation steps every time before you dive into making a rig. Most things mentioned here can be addressed later in the process as well, but it is easier to set things up from the get go and never have to worry about things not working or looking wrong down the line.
Workspace
Start by making a new file and delete any default objects that might be in the scene. We do not need the timeline for most of the rigging process, so adjust the layout to remove it. We will work a lot with the Properties and Outliner views so we can leave them as is. ...
