Realization of behavior
Abstract
This chapter presents a new notion of realization of behavior. It has been shown that realization of behavior generalizes the classical concept of realization of transfer function matrix. The basic idea in this approach is to find an autoregressive moving-average (ARMA) representation for a given frequency behavior description such that the known frequency behavior is completely recovered to the corresponding dynamical behavior. From this point of view, realization of behavior is seen to be a converse procedure to the latent variable eliminating process.
