The inconclusive evidence and contradictive results in the field of the energy-growth economics, despite the vast amount of studies, lead researchers to the employment of more sophisticated methods that may throw additional light or may provide a renewed perspective from which to study the energy-growth relationship. The Fourier analysis regards the relationship as a bunch of sine and cosine waves with various frequencies and phases.
