Chapter 15. A Kick in the Attitude Principle #13: Positive Leadership Inspires and Motivates Teamwork
None of us is as smart as all of us.
You might agree that there are many, many definitions of leadership and an abundance of information about how to develop your leadership abilities. From what I know, however, all the resources in the world pale next to attitude. Great leadership starts with attitude. Leadership requires leading yourself first, and others will copy the way you lead yourself.
Become a leader who can inspire the best from others, moving them toward a common vision and doing it as a team. Otherwise, it's an "every man and woman for themselves" situation, and that's when things come undone.
Simple Tips for Inspiring and Motivating Teamwork
These are simple to do, so don't try and complicate them. The reason so many leaders end up wannabe leaders is that they complicate everything to the point that nothing makes sense. As a result, the team is no longer a team, and everyone is frustrated and seeking a direction in their own best interest.

Keep your leadership system simple, persistent, consistent, and always growing.
What I mean by this is you have to put new leadership concepts to the test. Not everything is going to work. You have to adapt and change your strategy and implement new ideas. What worked yesterday may not work today. This is how you build growth into your leadership arena.
