14. Globalization and Strategic Outsourcing

Strategic outsourcing adds many benefits to an organization. When we combine these strategies with project management concepts developed in earlier chapters, we can reexamine outsourcing from a new perspective. By developing the proper outsourcing strategy, you can create a pool of resources sufficient to capture new opportunities without affecting your ongoing strategic projects. In essence, you create an infinite resource pool. For our purposes, I cite the goal of strategic outsourcing using this perspective:
