1394 Sometimes used as an abbreviation that describes FireWire interfaces. This is derived from the IEEE 1394 standard number.
16mm A semi-professional and professional film format. Low-budget features, TV programs, and news-gathering all used 16mm.
14 × 9 A compromised aspect ratio midway between 16 × 9 and 4 × 3 (12 × 9) that fits reasonably well on TV displays of either type.
16 × 9 Widescreen TV formats use an aspect ratio of 16 units wide by 9 units high.
24p A common abbreviation used to describe film formats that are digitized at 24 frames per second (fps) on a progressively scanned raster.
