Partial EV Implementations
We have shown in previous chapters that substantial effort is involved in implementing and using a full Department of Defense (DoD) EVMS. As EV concepts have become more familiar in the project management world, the value of their objective reporting has become more widely accepted. More project owners are looking to project managers for objective information, and many project managers are looking for convenient and economical ways to provide it. In addition, it is impossible to reach an upper level of project management maturity without an advanced project cost system such as that provided by EV.
