Wireframes and prototypes are ways to validate the proposed functionality, content hierarchy and structure, functional behaviors, and interaction of a product before a line of code (generally) has been written. When combined with site maps, task flows, or both, they become a powerful tool in your kit to validate that you’re meeting user needs while working toward the goals of the product.
