We have been laboring under a mistaken view of IT for a number of decades—perhaps not surprising when you have a brand-new discipline created ex nihilo by a bunch of playful, passionate, socially inept geniuses. But we’ve learned stuff, and if we can break out of the old model, the learnings promise a new generation for IT leaders.
