Project Authorization and Initiation

2.1 Document Workflow

The appropriate amount of management and documentation for a project depends on many factors, including the project’s size, duration, budget, complexity, and risk. The project assessment form in Appendix 2 can be used to help evaluate these factors and determine the level of project management needed for a particular initiative. Appendix 3 summarizes alternate paths for documenting various types of projects including those with a focus on information technology services.
