Abstract
This chapter describes the research methodology of the project in classifying the systematic work achieved through a series of steps used as a guideline for achieving the objectives of this research. This study is based on comparison between effects of efficient method for solving single black hole attack and its effects on multiple black hole attacks in mobile ad hoc network (MANET) using AODV routing protocol. The study investigates the effectiveness of the selected solution based on the following metrics: packet delivery ratio, packet loss percentage, average end-to-end delay, and route request overhead.
