Moonlighting can create difficulties when employees don’t know where to draw the line between what is acceptable off-the-job employment or business activity and what crosses the line. This has become an increasing problem because today, many employees have side businesses, such as selling health and beauty products or putting on sales parties once in awhile. And some employees have second jobs to pay the bills or for personal or career growth.
