For example, one very functional case study is the very well-known case of Yahoo!’s hiring of Marissa Mayer as CEO (Elattar, 2014). At one point, Yahoo! was on a downward spiral, had gone through several CEOs in a very short time, and was faced with a fast-growing giant of competitors.
