Perform Quality Assurance

Perform Quality Assurance is the process of auditing the quality requirements and the results from quality control measurements to ensure appropriate quality standards and operational definitions are used.

There are several goals for the Perform Quality Assurance process:

  • Provide confidence that the deliverables will meet the requirements and stakeholder expectations
  • Ensure the project is following the quality policies, procedures, and plans as documented in the quality management plan
  • Determine if the identified quality policies, procedures, plans, and metrics are sufficient to meet the product and project objectives
  • Improve processes as appropriate to improve overall project performance

Figure 15-1 shows the inputs, tools and techniques and outputs for the Perform Quality Assurance process. Figure 15-2 shows a data flow diagram for the Perform Quality Assurance process.
