The thought of “programming” often scares away talented composers and sound designers to games. One of the long-standing misconceptions has always been in order to be in “game” audio, you had to be able to get under the hood and “code” as part of the process. While it’s never a bad idea to understand a little about how programming works, you could still sustain a lifelong career purely as a content provider and never have to see the grittier side of development.
