One of the greatest features of Visual Basic is that programming in Visual Basic is fun. At first, Visual Basic seems confusing to newcomers. Part of that confusion comes from the busy screen that the newcomer sees when he starts Visual Basic for the first time. This chapter explains the common parts of the Visual Basic environment, including the contents, windows, and icons that appear on the screen.
