Deploying Your Application
In Visual Studio, beginning with release 6, a special wizard walks you through the creation of a Windows-based installation for your application. Although you may not have a Visual Studio–based product now, and although you may use a different vendor's in the future, you can learn a lot about such products by following the process described here.
Visual Studio's Package and Deployment Wizard does the following:
Compiles the application and compresses the files.
Creates a setup program that your users can use to install the application.
