The Need for Design
When a builder begins to build a house, he doesn't pick up a hammer and begin on the kitchen's frame. The house must be properly designed before anything can happen. The builder must first find out what the purchaser of the house wants. Once the plans for the house are drawn, the builder must plan the resources needed to build the house. The builder must file the proper permits, get financing, gather the materials, and gather the workers. The builder must also decide on some kind of timeframe and determine a proper schedule for completing each part of the building (the roof cannot go up before the foundation).
