Creating Layers
The first step in using layers is to add one to the page. As with many other elements, there are several ways to create layers in FrontPage. However, no matter how you create a layer, you are most likely going to want to name it or adjust its properties using the Layers task pane, so it makes sense to simply add the layer from the task pane as well.
Inserting Layers
The first button at the top of the Layers task pane can be used to insert a new layer onto the current page, and is a good way to add layers quickly. To insert a layer on the page, do the following:
1. | Display the Layers task pane by opening the Format menu and choosing Layers. |
2. | If necessary, switch to Design view. |
3. | Click the Insert Layer button on the Layers task ... |
