Positioning and Resizing Layers
After the creation of a layer, you need to decide where exactly you want it on the page. If you used the Draw Layer button, the layer will already be in the general vicinity, but most likely not exactly where it needs to be. Inserted layers are even worse: They are positioned and sized by FrontPage, not by you.
That's why it is important to learn how to position and size layers exactly the way that you want them. You can either type in the numbers you want, or drag the layer and use the resize handles to position and size it—with or without the aid of a ruler and grid for positioning.
