Favorite Folders

Favorite Folders are shortcuts to mail folders that are shown when you display the Mail folders group in the Navigation Pane. By default, the Inbox and Sent Items folders are the only folders shown in Favorite Folders. Favorite Folders may seem useless if you have very few custom folders, but if you have many subfolders, they provide an easy way to navigate to deeply buried folders. Instead of having to expand deeply nested folders and subfolders to find the one you want to view, you can go right to the folder you want if it's in Favorite Folders. The Favorite Folders area is shown in Figure 11.6, with a folder nested three levels down from the Inbox added to Favorite Folders for immediate access.
