Installing a Video Card
The BIOS settings involving the video card typically include the following:
Display type— VGA is the basis for all system graphics today, so no change from the default of VGA is necessary.
AGP speed settings— Most systems automatically detect the type of AGP card installed and set these accordingly. However, you can override the settings if necessary. For example, enable AGP Fast Write to improve graphics performance, but disable it if the system crashes.
Primary VGA BIOS— If you move from PCI to AGP, be sure to set this to AGP.
Graphics aperture size— Use the default size (generally 32MB).
