Appendix B. Other Web Sites That Will Test Your Security
This appendix provides a list of Web sites on the Internet where you can receive free Internet security scans of your computer. Some sites only provide a quick or basic scan, whereas other sites provide detailed scans that can take up to 30 minutes to complete.
To test the effectiveness of your personal firewall, run a security scan with your personal firewall disabled and then run the same test with your personal firewall enabled and compare the results. Remember that personal firewalls come with different levels of security policies.
