15. Drawing and Editing Pictures

Besides letting you type and edit text, computers allow you to draw pictures as well. Even if you have no desire to become an artist or can’t draw anything beyond a stick figure, you might still need to draw simple pictures to capture your ideas and show them to others.

If you have a digital camera or a smartphone, chances are good you’ve taken pictures that you’ve stored on your computer. Just as you might scribble text and arrows on a printed picture, so too you can scribble text and simple shapes such as arrows on a digital picture.
