Abundance Leadership is a great model for leaders who are open to vision and expansion. It is a concept that is not commonly considered in this work world. Generally speaking, we approach work (and life) from a context of what isn't working and what has to be corrected. Abundance Leadership comes from a context of positivity and abundance. That very simple approach says quite a bit about the power and value of this concept.

In this chapter, I begin to explore the meta-competencies of an Abundance leader, which are the overarching skills and habits of such a leader. In Section III of this book, I provide a detailed how-to manual that give tips and techniques for manifesting more abundance behaviors.
The four meta-competencies are visioning, visibility, self-awareness, and managing well. Each one has competencies, of which there are 11 total. Each competency, in turn, has its own behaviors, of which there are a total of 29 reflecting abundance and 27 reflecting scarcity.
Table 3.1 shows how abundance behaviors map to each competency and meta-competency. Scarcity behaviors are listed after the table. Notice that some abundance behaviors can have a negative impact. Anything in excess is problematic.
