Abstract

Distributed smart cameras are both smart—they perform computer vision tasks—and distributed—the cameras themselves are distributed in space and distributed algorithms are used for analysis. Physically distributing cameras help with both occlusion and target resolution. Distributed algorithms offer better scaling as well as reliability.
